All Roads Lead to Killeagh next Sunday 14th October for the Munster Senior Plate – 12.30pm

The phenomenal support for this team over the last few years has been just amazing and every single person on the Senior Panel has been blown away and humbled by the support received from the community of Kinsale – so we are calling on everyone, once more to get behind our Ladies Football Team and continue that great trend by following this remarkable team once again, as we did in 2016 and 2017, to shout on our Senior Players in their 3rd Munster Final.

Lots of support on the side-lines will, without doubt, be a very important factor in helping the Team to push for the Big Munster win next weekend, so let’s all get ready to don the Kinsale Colours, bring out the Flags, Banners and Signs and lets get supporting our ‘History-Making’ Senior Ladies Football Team next Sunday.

Club Day 🔵🏐🔵

As promised we now have a re-scheduled date for our End of Season Morning with a new Venue!

Sunday, 21st October, from 11am to 1pm approx - to be held in Sáile.

So if the weather works against us that morning we can use the Hall at Sáile and even on the Astro at least there will be no mud if it does rain during the Fun Games:-):-)!!!

There will be Hurling and Football Mini-Blitz’s for all Boys and Girls Under 6  to Under 10.

Teas / Coffees and Goodies will be served in the Reception Area of Sáile. Everyone welcome to come along and enjoy the morning with us.

We are sending out our usual “Calling all Bakers Appeal” and asking everyone to bring along a donation of food - cakes, buns, sandwiches, packet of biscuits, whatever you can - all donations very gratefully excepted and really appreciated. There’ll be tea n coffee on tap 😉.  (Food can be left in the Reception Area of Sáile from approx. 10.30amand the Goodies Haven will be open for business from 11.15am approx.)

In keeping with tradition all tea/coffee and goodies are free by way of a small ‘thank you gesture’ to all the parents and the community of Kinsale for their continuous and fantastic support for Kinsale GAA Club.

More details re the order of the morning to follow in the next day or so.

Looking forward to seeing everyone Sunday week – Fingers and Toes crossed for dry weather!!!!

PS all Helping Hands glady excepted!!

KINSALE GAA CLUB DEVELOPMENT DRAW

Three great reasons to support Kinsale GAAs Club Development Draw - this is where the money goes!

(1) Please enjoy the short Promo video (link below) re our Annual Club Development Draw. Fundraising for Phase 2 - development of existing or new facilities is of huge importance going forward considering the growth of our Underage Club with over 600 boys and girls registered in 2018.

(2) Another significant area to continue growing and expanding is our Hurling & Football Coaching Program in all 5 Primary Schools (past 5 years) and the new GAA program introduced into Kinsale Community School last year, which not only introduces GAA to all children in school, but emphasises the importance of sport for everyone.

(3) Allowing us to grow with our continually expanding community so that Kinsale GAA can, going forward, always provide the best facilities available to benefit our entire community.

Weekly Lotto:
Another Roll-Over from last week – its getting bigger and bigger now - The Jackpot for Wednesday 10-October-2018 will be €2,300

Don’t forget to pick up your ticket – you could do a lot with €2,300:-)!!!!!

Kinsale GAA Clubs AGM:

The Club AGM will take place on Friday 9th November 2018 – please pencil this date into your diaries, set reminders in phones.  Time and Venue TBC in the next week.

We would encourage everyone to come along to the Club AGM and just listen in to find out what happens outside of matches and training – there is never any pressure on anyone to contribute verbally or get involved, its also about getting to know more about the club that you are a member of.
And Yes of course Kinsale GAA is always looking for new people to become involved; clubs always need as many volunteers as they can to help with the running of the club and share out the various jobs, otherwise Clubs in general would cease to exist without this vital help from people!!!  - So if you feel that you have some time to spare to give a hand that would be fantastic.  Friday 9th November, please come along – it would be fantastic to see some new faces there.

History Book on Kinsale GAA Club:
Available to purchase at the reduced price of €30.00.  Lots of brilliant photos from both past and present and great stories to be read. If interested please reply to this email or contact Laurence or Emma.

A Message from Kinsale Chamber of Tourism – Please take just a few minutes to complete the survey  in the link below:

Hi,
I’m writing to ask for your help with the distribution of a survey which is intended for all residents of Kinsale (and those living within 10km of the town). The Kinsale Chamber of Tourism plus others, under the new title of Inspired By Kinsale, is inviting everyone  to contribute to this public survey, the results of which will be shared, and used for the benefit of all, as we try and match the abundant talent and resources we have, with the various initiatives and projects that we, as a community, believe to be of most benefit to Kinsale.

Research I carried out earlier this summer for the Chamber, supported by Failte Ireland, tells us that visitors can discern the amazing sense of community that exists here, and should be treasured. But that's not to say as residents we don't face challenges, and harbour thoughts about how to improve things.

So, we are launching the survey this week, using social media (Kinsale Facebook pages etc) but we’d like to ask your help with circulating this survey the community groups and clubs you are involved with. If you have an internal email address list or newsletter, please could you send around the link to this survey, which is https://inspiredbykinsale.questionpro.com so that as many people as possible will complete it. We appreciate that as this is a digital survey, it may exclude some people who are not used to computers, but on the very restricted budget we have, we cannot run this as a paper questionnaire.  It is possible, however, for you to go through the survey with someone and fill it in for them as you go.

We will run the fieldwork through the rest of October and  the results will be reviewed and shared before the end of November.

If you have any questions, please do email me.  If you would like to know more about Inspired By Kinsale, we will be producing regular newsletters as things progress.
Yours sincerely
Adrian Wistreich
Alan Clayton and
Ciaran Fitzgerald
