Hi all – this is the first long News Update in a while – please take a few minutes to read through it so that you are aware of all changes etc that may be relevant to you. Many thanks.
A few days of Semi’s and Finals coming up – Great to see the Club contesting at all levels:
What a few days ahead for the club contesting at the top level of so many competitions.
Encouragement on the side-lines can’t be emphasised enough - no matter what the age group, for players to hear their supporters cheering on the team, is like having an extra player on the pitch and really helps with driving teams on to give it everything…..and then some more…….for that big win!!!!
So lets get travelling, wrap up for whatever the weather will throw at us and support all our wonderful Kinsale GAA Teams as they proudly don the Blue & White to represent not only their club, but their families, their friends, their community and most importantly to do themselves proud on the field of play.
See attachments/photos above.
REMINDER –
IMPORTANT PLEASE READ
End of Season Family Morning – Sunday, 7th October 2018 – POSTPONED!
For an extremely good and fantastic reason our End of Season Family morning is postponed and will be re-scheduled for another date as quickly as possible.
As you know our amazing Senior Ladies Football Team were crowned County Champions on Sunday last for the third year in a row and are now through to another Munster Championship Semi-Final (again for the third time in a row!) – what an achievement by this team.
The club received confirmation of the Munster Semi-Final Fixture late Monday evening (1/10/18).
Senior B Munster Football Semi-Final
Sunday, 7th October 2018
Kinsale V Cappawhite, Co. Tipperary
Throw-in: 12.30pm
Venue: Mallow.
This is a huge game for our Senior Ladies and a great honour for Kinsale GAA Club to be involved in yet another Munster Semi Final, this time at Senior Level.
All roads lead to Mallow on Sunday (7th) and we are calling on everyone to make a huge effort to support our Ladies Football Team at this important fixture. The phenomenal support for this team over the last few years has been just incredible – lets continue that trend now and invade Mallow once again, as we did in 2017, to shout on our Ladies Team as they look to book their place in their 3rd Munster Final.
Don the Kinsale Colours, bring Flags, Banners and Signs and lets turn Mallow Blue & White once more.
Our End of Season Family Morning will definitely go ahead in October and we will confirm a new date as soon as possible.
Many thanks for your understanding and support re this change of plan - Mallow and a Munster Semi-Final ahead instead on Sunday 7th October :-)!

Thank you.
Kinsale GAA Clubs AGM:
The Club AGM will take place on Friday 9th November 2018 – please pencil this date into your diaries, set reminders in phones. Time and Venue TBC in the next week.
We would encourage everyone to come along to the Club AGM and just listen in to find out what happens outside of matches and training – there is never any pressure on anyone to contribute verbally or get involved, its also about getting to know more about the club that you are a member of.
And Yes of course Kinsale GAA is always looking for new people to become involved; clubs always need as many volunteers as they can to help with the running of the club and share out the various jobs, otherwise Clubs in general would cease to exist without this vital help from people!!! - So if you feel that you have some time to spare to give a hand that would be fantastic. Friday 9th November, please come along – it would be fantastic to see some new faces there.
Sciath na Scol:
Congratulations to Gaelscoil Chionn tSáile whose 2018/2019 Sciath na Scol Girls Football Team (5th & 6th Class) are the first ever Girls Team to qualify for a Sciath na Scol Final from the school. Amazing stuff. Well done to all the pupils and the teachers involved. And we wish the girls the very best of luck in their Final.
KINSALE GAA CLUB DEVELOPMENT DRAW
Three great reasons to support Kinsale GAAs Club Development Draw - this is where the money goes!
(1) Please enjoy the short Promo video (link below) re our Annual Club Development Draw. Fundraising for Phase 2 - development of existing or new facilities is of huge importance going forward considering the growth of our Underage Club with over 600 boys and girls registered in 2018.
(2) Another significant area to continue growing and expanding is our Hurling & Football Coaching Program in all 5 Primary Schools (past 5 years) and the new GAA program introduced into Kinsale Community School last year, which not only introduces GAA to all children in school, but emphasises the importance of sport for everyone.
(3) Allowing us to grow with our continually expanding community so that Kinsale GAA can, going forward, always provide the best facilities available to benefit our entire community.
