Great win for Intermediate Men in Second Round of Championship:
Report by Conor O Brien
Kinsale Intermediates earned a well-deserved win over Ballinora in this years second round of the Intermediate Football Championship last Saturday 7th in Brinny.
The team started nervously which could be forgiven as this was another do or die clash for the team with the loser heading out of championship.
Kinsale began to settle with scores from Mayo man Colm Donnellan, Richard O Sullivan, Gearoid Finn and Brian Coughlan. Ballinora returned fire but only after tenacious defending from Alan Ryan, Wayne O Hea and Niall McCarthy Kinsale extended the lead to 4 points before the break.
Ballinora tackled their way back into the game, forcing the pace in the first 10 minutes of the second half. Keeper Stephen O Neill made a top level save and this really killed the Ballinora come back. Opposition attacks were repelled by Miah Wright and Rian O Regan before Chris Mitchell arrived to extend the lead. When the final whistle blew the scoreboard read Kinsale 13 points and Ballinora 8.
Congrats to the players and we look forward to the next round.
A good week for Championship all round for Kinsale GAA:

Junior C Ladies Football picked up a decisive win V Valley Rovers 6-14 to 4-13
