BOYS & GIRLS UNDERAGE MEDAL PRESENTATIONS - Sunday, 24th June 2018
Congratulations to all our Underage Players who received their medals last Sunday for their respective successes during Season 2017. It is fantastic to have so many up and coming young players in the club – with this amount of immensely talented teams at underage, the future is certainly very very bright going forward, with no doubt, many more victories to come along. The future of our Adult Section of the club, in both Men and Women, is without doubt in very capable hands as these teams progress up through the age groups over the next few years.
Our thanks to Mark Collins, Cork Senior Football Player who came along today to spend the afternoon with us. He very kindly presented all the medals and happily stood in for many photos and took some time to chat to our young players. The club would like to extend our thanks to Mark for taking time out of his Sunday and travel down to Kinsale to be with us.
Many thanks to Tomas and all the staff at Actons Hotel who were fantastic and catered for everything requested of them. And for all the delicious food served before and after the presentations.
Thank you to all the coaches of the teams that were presented with Medals on Sunday and to ALL coaches of our underage teams for the trojan work that they do in shaping and producing our teams of tomorrow. Without your amazing dedication and commitment – the future would not be as bright for Kinsale GAA.
And finally thank you to all the players, parents and families for coming along to this special occasion ……… its so important to mark these achievements and allow the club the opportunity to express its huge thanks and appreciation and to show how proud it is of all our young players and their coaches.

Junior Ladies Football Team are County League Champions!
Congrats to Kinsale Ladies who are County Junior League Champions after a great win V Grenagh 4-12 to 2-2! Kinsale had home advantage but that didn’t matter as they took control of the game from the very start and lead from start to finish. Fantastic Football on display from all the Kinsale Players who out played Grenagh all over the pitch, scoring some great points and even better goals! Next up is Championship now for this team in July.
This is an incredible achievement for this team who are playing only their first season together - and already a County League cup to show for it!! All the hard training was so worth it. Well done to all the Ladies on the team and to their coaches.

Girls Underage Football Training – U6 to U10:
The Underage girls were delighted to welcome some of the Junior Ladies to Girls Football Training today after their great victory over Grenagh last night (Sunday 24/06/2018) in the County League Final!
The girls coached the teams during their blitzes and Captain, Lisa, encouraged them to keep practicing every day at home and they will see their skills improve!!
There will be a break now from Mondaytraining sessions for the next few weeks for U6-U10! The U8 and U10 girls will play the rest of their West Cork League over July and August!!

Cork Senior Ladies are Munster Champs:
Well done to Kinsale Players Orla, Sadhbh and Nicole on winning another Munster medal in a sweltering CIT last Saturday, 23rdJune! They’d a super win V Kerry 5-13 to 2-10, the final score.
It was great to see such a big crowd from Kinsale GAA there to cheer on the Cork Seniors!
CELTIC CHALLENGE BOYS HURLING FINAL (BOYS UNDER 17):
John O Brien, Kealan O Rourke, Conor McCarthy are all part of the West Cork Team who have made it through to this big final on Saturday.
It’s absolutely fantastic to have 3 players from Kinsale Gaa involved on the Team.

As we head towards the end of June, all players should really be registered with the club now especially for playing matches. Players who are not registered are not covered by Club insurance in the event of an incident either playing a match or during training.
