Lá na Club – Family Day at the Pitch:
Our very enjoyable Lá na Club is back again this year and will be held n
Next Sunday, 10th June, at the Pitch on Bandon Road from 11am to 2.30pm approx.
Plan for day:
o 11am to 11.45am U6 to U8 Boys and Girls age groups to play mixed hurling/camogie football blitz’s
o 12 noon to 12.45pm: U9, U10, U11 and U12 Boys and Girls to play blitz’s
o 12.45pm to 1.15pm Kinsale GAA’s Fittest Family and other fun activities

All players should bring their Mouth Guards and Hurleys & Helmets (limited supply of borrowing gear available – please please bring your own if you have it)
Everyone is welcome to come along for 11am and enjoy the atmosphere – the times above are match start times only – everyone is welcome whenever they can make it.
o Our brilliant Scor Group will provide the musical entertainment with traditional music and perhaps a few songs !
o Our Infamous Coaches /Adult Mixed Games will also take place at the end of Lá na Club around 2pm ish. (Football and Hurling/Camogie will be played! – approx. 20mins each code).
‘Townies Versus Country’ for Ladies, Men’s Players, All Coaches and Helpers.
(this game is actually mandatory for all coaches –!!! ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) !!!!!!!)
so start polishing those football boots now and dig out those mouth guards, hurleys and helmets – not to worry Hurleys and Helmets can be borrowed - so no gear is no excuse!!!!
The Marquee will be up and serving Tea/Coffee and some light refreshments from 11.20am onwards – the ‘light refreshments’ is where you all come in!!! As in previous years we are putting out a ‘Calling all Bakers Appeal’ :-) :-)!! We are asking everyone if they would kindly bring along a ‘donation of food’ on the morning – any donations can be handed in as people arrive at 11am. All food donations glady excepted ; from Cakes, Buns and Sandwiches – under pressure to bake …pick up a Packets of Biscuits or Buns/Cakes from the supermarket on route;-)!!
All provided Free of Charge throughout Lá na Club.
Parking:
All parking will be in the lower pitch – located behind the clubhouse (AKA Seanies Pitch!!). There will be stewards on the road directing everyone to park here – pedestrian access available to Main Pitch. Parking on the road or outside the main gates will not be allowed for the safety of everyone. Nor should people park in the housing estates opposite the GAA Pitch. There is plenty of parking in Seanie’s Pitch.
The club would like to remind everyone to drive slowly and with caution on Bandon Road – the traffic stewards are also volunteers and are there to ensure everyones safety.
Helpers:
If you can help out on the morning with Traffic control or in the Marquee serving tea/coffee and all the goodies – please let Emma 086-3926527 or Brian Murphy 086-1241822know ; or reply to this email. Many hands make light work (to use a time honoured old saying!) – many thanks.
Weather:
At the moment the weather looks set to be nice for next Sunday so we will keep the fingers and toes crossed that the gorgeous weather will stay on for another bit. However if there is a change in the weather; while it’s the clubs preference to drive on with our La na Club next Sundayregardless – we also have to take into consideration that it really wouldn’t be much of a Family Fun Day for anyone if its continuous lashing heavy rain.(if only showers we will drive on with La na Club.) So the advice is to keep an eye on our Facebook Page, and WhatsApp messages if the weather turns. Fingers crossed the good dry weather will stay on for another bit!
Looking forward to seeing everyone next Sunday.
