Club fulfils promise ‘to give back’ to the amazing Kinsale Community:
Kinsale GAA is very conscious of the fantastic support it has always received from the community of Kinsale. Down through the years, in good times and in bad, this incredible spirit of support has been a constant source of encouragement for the club and always leaves us completely overwhelmed. The success of Kinsale GAA both on and off the pitch is testament to this unwavering backing that it receives – our reputation as a club to be reckoned with on the field of play and as a great club to be a member of and associated with, stems from this great community spirit.

This unbelievable ethos in Kinsale of ‘working together, helping each other out’, between all clubs, organisations, schools, businesses and residents of the town, to better serve the people of Kinsale and its surrounding areas, is an entity of its own – an almost touchable continual vibe that’s evident everywhere in the town. Unique in its existence – where a whole community can see the bigger picture of ‘we’ll all move forward together’.

Kinsale GAA is extremely grateful and humbled by this fantastic support – it is something that is not taken for granted and that is why Kinsale GAA has always tried to be proactive in its commitment to the town, helping out when it can and continually trying to improve its facilities for everyone in the community and all its members.

Our recent club Fundraiser KinSync benefitted enormously from this community spirit with 2 Sell-Out Shows in Actons Hotel – the event was an unbelievable success – both in the quality of the entertainment that was provided by our Super Amazing 10 Acts and in the production of the show with unreal lighting and sound. Financially, it was even more successful then the club thought possible. With Funds raised now standing at €19,000, it was to say the least and incredible achievement, leaving the club completely dumbfounded once again by the support from the town.

With €2000 of that money going to two Charities selected by our KinSync Acts and the remainder going directly to our Club Development Fund, it’s a phenomenal result benefitting so many people.

Last Sunday 11th February, Pat O Regan, AKA Tina’s Rollers (which included singers Stuart, John, Maxine, backing dancers Cliodhna, Dara, Julie, Mia, Niamh, Aisling–Lucy French School of Dance) presented a cheque of €1000 to his nominated charity, Kinsale RNLI.
As a seaside town Kinsale is incredibly lucky to have a local RNLI station – it has been involved in so many rescues and no doubt has saved thousands of local lives, if not more, over the years.
The club were deeply honoured and so proud to present the cheque along with Pat to Kinsale RNLI. A very worthy recipient.

On Thursday, 15th February, Louise Hallissey and Ciarán O Connor of Guys n Dolls (also in this group were Siobhan Healy, Karen Hayes, Marie O Sullivan, Brian Murphy, Fintan Lynch, Laurence Murphy) presented their cheque for €1000 to Friends of Marymount Hospice. Another very truly worthy recipient. Sadly Marymount is so very close to so many people’s hearts in the town of Kinsale, they do incredible work and again Kinsale GAA were humbled and honoured to be there with Louise and Ciarán representing Guys n Dolls, to present their cheque to this well-deserving charity.

The Quigley Family (a very well-known family and GAA Family in Kinsale) were also at Marymount on Thursday to present another cheque for €500 that was raised at the Annual Tom Quigley Memorial Puc Fada on News Years Day – hosted by Kinsale GAA Club. Cian and Tomás were there to present the cheque in honour of the late Tom Quigley a great great Kinsale and Club man.

Huge and sincere thanks again to everyone in Kinsale - Your contribution to these events, made these presentations possible.

Thank you.
This is the first outing of the new Season for our Ladies Football Team in the Senior League.

Best of luck to the Squad as they rise to a new challenge in 2018 taking on new opponents at Senior Level. No doubt these Senior teams are not looking forward to taking on Kinsale after the heroics of our amazing team in 2016 and 2017.

Senior status / Bring it on..... 👍

Be great to have loads of support out in Ovens on Sunday afternoon - plenty of encouragement from the side-lines would be very welcome to get this great team off to a winning start.

This is the third outing in the league for our Intermediate Men in 2018 already and with a good win under their belts V Ballinora last weekend, the lads will be determined to continue in winning ways in Ballydehob.

Please show your support for the lads on Saturday - Tis a bit of a spin - but sure make the afternoon of it in beautiful West Cork - what better way to pass a Saturday afternoon and evening👍
Support on the side-lines is key to drive a team on .. so head Ballydehob direction on Saturday and shout on the lads. 👍

Best of luck to all our players over the weekend - Chionn tSáile Abú!
