Super Sunday – Two fantastic wins: (Check out all the photos on our Facebook page)

26th November turned out to be a very Super Sunday indeed.

A great win for our Minors in Ballincollig who are now through to another County Final. The opposition today were Doneraile, the same team that Kinsale beat to win the Minor Hurling County Final in October. The Final score Kinsale 1-9, Doneraile 1-6.
Huge congrats to all the players and their mentors on a magnificent season so far. Next up now is a County Football Final, a Hurling League Final and a Football League Semi-Final. A County Double is now even closer – fingers and toes crossed. As soon as we have details for all these upcoming matches they will be sent out straight away. Christmas Dinner could be a bit late this year as you may need to go and watch a match first :-) :-) !!

Our Under 13 Boys also had a fantastic win today in their County A League Final V St. Catherine’s. It was a very tight game, with the sides level on a number of occasions. All square at full time, so it was into extra time, 10 mins a side. Nail biting to watch right to the end as Kinsale lined the goal line 3 times in the last 3/4 mins to cover 3 frees awarded to St Catherine’s. Final Score 3-6 to 2-7, a hard fought win by 2 points.

Many congratulations to this young team who are unbeaten this season in both Hurling and Football – what an incredible achievement. Their coaches and mentors also deserve a big Thank you for all their hard work and commitment all season.

It’s been a very long season – enjoy the Sos Beag!

Thank you to Carol O Callaghan and Deirdre Murray who organised a ‘feast of goodies’ for both Under 13 teams, their coaches and their families for after the match – Many Many Many thanks to all the parents who brought along Sandwiches, Rolls, Sweet, Cakes and Buns – it was an amazing spread to finish off an amazing season for this team. Thank you all so much.

Coffee Morning Fundraiser for our Intermediate Ladies Football Team’s Trip to Dublin for the All Ireland Final: submitted by Catherine Murphy
A huge thank you to everyone who supported our Coffee Morning in the Temperance Hall on Saturday, 25th November!
We raised a staggering €2,685, which the Club and Players are very grateful for!
There was a buzz around the Hall all morning and it was a great opportunity to talk about the upcoming final and for everyone to meet our brilliant players, of whom we are all very proud of!
Thanks to the businesses who donated prizes, parents and players who baked and everyone who bought raffle tickets! Roll on next Sunday for the final hurdle!
Huge thanks to Pat & Sinead O Regan, Kinsale Coffee who once again sponsored the gorgeous Coffee for Saturdays Fundraiser.
Also big thanks to our Main Sponsors Blue Haven Collection – who sent over two delicious and fabulously decorated cakes – which were auctioned off to raise more money towards the All Ireland trip fund!

The players also visited the winners of the Best Dressed business Competition. Congrats to Hattitude, The Sports Shop and the White House who were chosen as very worthy winners!

Thanks to all the businesses who have shown their support by decorating their buildings! It has been noted, so much so that a videographer is visiting the town on Monday (27th) from Croke Park to video the town in all its glory!

Supporters Bus to All-Ireland Final:
The Supporters Bus to the Intermediate Ladies All Ireland Final is now full (55 seater).

There have been a number of enquiries to know if a second bus is being organised. The club will be delighted to organise a second bus but we need to have confirmed numbers so that a suitable bus can be hired in time (i.e. do we need another 55 seater or will a 20/25 seater do!!) Once a bus is booked (if needed) we can confirm the price per person then.

If interested in travelling on a second supporters bus to Dublin – please contact Laurence Murphy 087-9056737, Emma O Callaghan 086-3926527 or Catherine Murphy on 087-2168734 by tomorrow afternoon i.e. before 2.30pm please.

Thank you!
