Munster Final
The Venue and Time have now been set for our Intermediate Ladies Munster Football Final. All roads lead to Mallow next Saturday, 4th November – 2.45pm Throw-in ………………… lets travel in huge numbers to support this incredible team as they look to make it two Munster Championship titles in a row. What an achievement ……………….

This is the stuff that dreams are made of – clubs all over Ireland, will in their lifetime never reach these heights. Here we are in Kinsale with 2 in a row County Titles and the prospect of 2 in a row Munster Titles and just to add the icing on the top, achieving the 2017 County title and hoping to secure the 2017 Munster title at a higher grade (coming from Junior to Intermediate).
And the Cherry on top of all that is a promotion to a “Senior Ladies Football Team” for 2018. It is a phenomenal achievement by this group of women. But not attained by chance. This was a goal set out and agreed on and a plan formulated to achieve it. Sacrifices made, Training hard, staying focused, determination, never giving up, working together and supporting each other as a group. Result – 2 County Titles, 1 Munster Title, 1 All-Ireland Final reached and now another Munster Final to contend, all in two years.

This Ladies Football Team, their Mentors and Coaches deserve all our support and encouragement – what an incredible journey they took us on in 2016 and now the journey has begun again and hopefully will continue for 2017.
Saturday 4th November, Mallow, 2.45pm is the place to be – lots of support on the side-lines for this hugely important Munster Final is key – let’s leave Kinsale in huge numbers and invade Mallow once again – Let the Blue & White of Kinsale be the dominant colours in the stand on Saturday to show our amazing Intermediate players our unwavering support for the team and how so very proud we are of them all – they most certainly deserve it.

AGMS:

Club AGM
Saturday, 11th November, Temperance Hall, 7.30pm

Ladies Football/ Camogie AGM
Friday, 17th November, Aperitif Top Section, Blue Haven, 8.00pm

Boys Underage AGM
Saturday, 18th November, Temperance Hall, 8.00pm

Please come along to our AGMs and find out what’s happening in our Club and the plans for the future.

We are urging people to please come along if they can to one of these AGMs – we are urgently now looking for more volunteers and helpers across all sections of the club, from coaching, to admin, to helping out at the café, stewarding/traffic control during training sessions and matches.
Ø Admin could be a job as easy as looking after sending out the text/WhatsApp messages for a certain age group confirming training or match details!
Ø Being involved in coaching might involve helping to bib up 25/30 U6 year olds before they start training!!
There are loads of ways a small contribution of your time could really really help.

We can no longer rely on the same people to carry on doing the various jobs without additional help…………… our underage numbers have tripled in the last 4/5 years as the club expands at a phenomenal rate. Our Club is in a fantastic place at the moment - huge successes again so far this season on the field play, numbers increasing year on year. To continue to run the club at the high standard we have all become accustom to – we urgently need more help.

This is not just the usual appeal for help – all our Clubs (Adult, Boys Underage, Ladies & Girls Football, Camogie) are quickly nearing that point where coping with the huge numbers is getting more and more difficult.
HELP IS NEEDED URGENTLY – THE PEOPLE WHO ARE ALREADY INVOLVED CAN ONLY DO SO MUCH. SO PLEASE IF YOU HAVE A FEW HOURS A WEEK TO SPARE - PLEASE GET INVOLVED IN YOUR CLUB.

If you can’t make one of the AGMs but would like to help out – you can contact any of the Chairpersons below or reply to this email. Many thanks for your continued support.

John Martin Nyhan (Adult Chairperson) 087-6025318, Aisling Judge (Ladies Football) 087-6627308, Tom Kelleher (Camogie) 087-2432216, Gearoid Condon (Boys Underage) 086-8325202

Club Development Draw 2017/2018:
Nearly all of the tickets are sold for this exclusive draw (only 300 tickets maximum are entered into the 4 big draws – one every quarter). We are appealing for one final push now to have all the tickets sold before the first draw later this month.
This is a major Fundraiser for the development of our facilities, which will benefit all our members both young and old. Thank you to all those who have purchased a ticket already – your support is greatly appreciated.
If you are interested in purchasing a ticket please contact any of the people listed below or simply reply to this email.

Thank you so much.

Here a few different suggestions re purchasing a ticket; (1) Buy your own, (2) Share with a friend/family member, (3) get a group of 4 together to share a ticket, or of course you can (4) utilise our Standing Order facility which takes €10 a month from your account directly into the Development Fund account. With either option above your ticket is immediately entered into all 4 draws that take place over the course of the end of 2017 and into 2018.

If you would like to purchase a ticket you can contact :
Catherine Murphy 087-2168734
David Shortall 087-6979089
Sean O Callaghan 086-8104800
Gearoid Condon 086-8325202
Mairead Cronin 087-3238219
Michael O Sullivan 086-3340307

OR you can reply to this email or also contact Emma on 086-3926527.

Together lets get the development of our club facilities off the ground – we can all do our bit:-).
Huge thanks to all those who have supported this fundraising campaign over the years. Without your help ‘the end would never be in sight’!!

Facilities Development Update
Over the next couple of months, the perimeter fencing on the main pitch in Kinsale will get a significant upgrade – replacing all the wire and adjusting the poles as part of this work.
This will be completed before the end of 2017 so expect to see an upgraded and refreshed pitch fence perimeter all ready for the start of the 2018 season!

Given the increased playing numbers across all parts of the club, there is a committee actively reviewing options for suitable facilities for the club moving forward.
Over the past several months this has included looking at potential sites for new facilities and this search is ongoing.

Winter Hurling Program 2017:
This hugely successful program is being run again this year in Sáile. There are some very slight differences to last year so please read the information below carefully. Your Coaches will also be sending out more information via Text/WhatsApp.

Great report by Catherine Murphy on the Minor Boys East Football Final

Kinsale V Courceys

The Minors took to the field again this morning after a making history on Saturday and winning the Club's first County Hurling title after an emphatic win over Doneraile 0-24 to 1-7!

This time however they were playing football against near neighbours Courceys in the Rebel Og East final in front of a great crowd of supporters!
Courceys were first to get on the scoreboard with a point but this was followed quickly by two points from John O Brien.
Courceys tried to clock on a few more scores but the defensive display from backs David Barry, Dara Mangan, Conall Gilleran, Conor McCarthy and James Rooney was awesome and made it very difficult for the opposition.
John O Brien was in fine form in the forward line and added two more points in the first half and half forward Harry Sheehan also had his kicking boots on and scored two fine points.
Darragh Crowley and Rian O Regan worked very hard at midfield and fed great ball into the Forwards including Soren Minihane, Harry McCarthy and Chris Mitchell.
Kinsale were in the lead at halftime, seven points to two.
Courceys started the second half brightly and were first to score but Kinsale forwards Harry Sheehan and John O Brien kept the scoreboard ticking over. Courceys scored a goal after some great goalkeeping from Kaelan O Rourke but Rian O Regan went back up the pitch and put the ball in the back of the net.
Brian O Neill and Andrew O Connell added more dynamic up front in the second half and in the end Kinsale had a comfortable victory on a scoreline of 1-16 to 1-5.
Captain David Barry was presented with the Cup and thanked the excellent coaching team for their hard work all year. Next up for this group of lads is a League semi final against Cill na Martra and a County Championship 1/4 final final against Kilmacbea. It's great to still be in Competitions in November!
Scorers; John O Brien 0-8, Harry Sheehan 0-6, Rian O Regan 1-0, Darragh Crowley and Andrew O Connell 0-1.
To keep up with all the Clubs activities both on and off the pitch, make sure to download Clubify on your phones and follow Kinsale GAA on Facebook and Twitter!

Under 13A Hurling Cup Semi-Final
Great win for our young players on Bank Holiday Monday beating Ballinhassig on a scoreline of 3-9 to 3-6. They are now through to the Cup Final V St Catherines. Very well done to all the players and their coaches/mentors.

Sadhbh O Leary and Orla Finn – Our Local Legends:

Just a little reminder on Orla Finn being nominated once again for an All Star for Season 2017! Having won an All Star for Season 2016, we hope Orla will do the double and pick up the 2017 Award as well. A fantastic achievement and well deserved! The winners will be announced at a Gala Banquet in Dublins City West Hotel on the 25th November, 2017. The whole club is routing for you Orla – the very best of luck.

Presently our other local legend, Sadhbh O Leary is leading the competition in this years Goal of the year Competition! Sadhbh is the only Cork nominee and her first goal in the All Ireland Minor final was a cracker!
Lets keep the momentum going now - Please give her a vote! It only takes 30 seconds. Let's give her the credit she well and truly deserves!!

Be a KinSync Sponsor
As with any big fundraising event keeping costs and expenses to a minimum is crucial – the objective is for all monies raised to go directly to our Club Development Fund. If you would like to become a KinSync Sponsor and help Kinsale GAA to raise as much funding as possible please contact Catherine or Emma. All sponsors will be advertised continuously during the KinSync event, as well as being included on all club communications being sent out.
Please feel free to pass this email to places of work, friends, family members, other businesses that you think may be interested in helping out our club – we would be truly grateful for all the financial assistance received – taking the monetary strain off the clubs finances to run an event like this is key. Like every household the club has general expenses, the dreaded regular bills that must be paid - so avoiding adding to this outlaying of money is always a huge benefit.
Kinsale GAA is very very grateful to all our sponsors both present and past – without your financial support it would be extremely difficult to run our club to the high standards that we hold today – THANK YOU.
