Monthly Club Meeting:
The October Club Meeting will take place next Monday the 2nd at 9pm at Aperitif in the Blue Haven. Everyone welcome.

End of Season Morning at the Pitch – Sunday, 1st October – 11am to 1pm approx.
It’s hard to believe that another Season is drawing to a close for our younger underage groups. And what a great season it has been. With plenty of training, matches and blitz’s to keep all our future stars busy, plus a brilliant Cúl Camp and our Lá na Club morning. For some of our older Underage (U13 upwards) and our Adult teams the season continues into October as a result of progressing to semi-finals and finals at Divisional and County levels – fantastic news for any club to be still involved in competitions at this stage in the season.
So still busy busy on the field of play – keep an eye on those Fixture Lists and Clubify for all these upcoming matches.

Every year our End of Season Morning is an outstanding success regardless of whatever the Irish weather throws at us :-) No ‘sugar cubes’ in Kinsale GAA and we carry on regardless:-)! So unless its blowing a Hurricane on Sunday week – our End of Season Morning will go ahead. So come prepared for all weather:- sun cream!! Wellies and raincoats :-) :-) :-)!!!
The Marquee will be up as usual with yummy treats and hot tea/coffee to keep those chills away.

Speaking of Yummy Treats - this is where you come in!!!! As with other years we are now officially putting out our “Calling all Bakers” Appeal. Over the years people’s generosity has left us speechless with the amount of cakes, buns, sandwiches, brown bread, biscuits, bars etc brought along on the day – and we have no doubt that 2017 will be the same.
Any and all food donations are gratefully accepted.

Can’t bake/No time to bake or make!! – bring along a packet of biscuits, pop into Centra or Supervalu and take the credit for one or two of their yummy treats ;-) ;-) - Mums the word – what happens in the Marquee stays in the Marquee;-) ;-) !!!!

So please please please bring along a little treat with you on Sunday - many thanks:-).

Each year, everyone at the End of Season Morning is spoilt for choice with the array of treats on display in the Marquee – for the children especially who can’s quiet get to grips with the amount of goodies to choose from :-) :-) – that’s when of course they can get passed the adults who are eyeing up the stuff for themselves!!! (LOL :-) :-) !!!).

All goodies can be delivered into the Marquee from 10.30am onwards and the Marquee will be open for business from approx. 11.20am ..ish… In keeping with tradition all tea/coffee, goodies will be free of charge for the morning.

If anyone is available to help behind the tables giving out the treats and the Tea/Coffee – please let Emma know (086-3926527). Equally if anyone can help out from 10.30am and say from 12.45pm onwards with traffic control please let Emma know. As the saying goes ‘the more the merrier’!!

ALL PARKING WILL BE IN SEANIE’S PITCH – STEWARDS WILL BE ON DUTY TO DIRECT YOU IN THE MORNING. PEDESTRIAN ACCESS TO THE MAIN PITCH IS AVAILABLE.
THE CLUB WOULD KINDLY REQUEST THAT MEMBERS NOT PARK IN THE ESTATES OPPOSITE THE GAA PITCH OR ON THE ROAD OUTSIDE –MANY THANKS FOR YOUR CO-OPERATION AND SUPPORT IN THIS IMPORTANT MATTER.

FINALLY, please drive with caution when approaching and leaving both pitches – traffic will be busier than usual, so patience is the order of the day. More children also on the move around the facilities so please take care.

We are looking forward to a great morning – you never know who you might see at the pitch – there could be a special guest or two lurking around – plenty of winners cups will be on display and perhaps also a visit by one All-Ireland Cup which recently made its way to Cork :-).

Schedule for Mini Matches – Girls and Boys (Mixed for all matches):
11am to 11.45am: U6 to U8 age groups to play mixed hurling/camogie and football blitz’s
11.45am to 12.30pm: U9 to U12 to play mixed hurling/camogie and football blitz’s

With Music from our hugely talented Scór participants and Face Painting ………………………… sounds like a great way to pass a morning! See you all there.

KinSync! Get those Lips Ready to Rock! First Prize - €1000 to the Winning Act’s nominated Charity!

THERE HAS BEEN A CHANGE! PLEASE NOTE BELOW!!!!:

Kinsale GAA Club Development Fundraiser – Actons Hotel – Saturday, 3rd February 2018.

Due to our many successes ‘on the pitch’ with a lot of our older Underage, Minor Players and Adult Teams progressing through to Divisional, County and Munster Semi-Finals/Finals – it is going to be a very busy time for the club over the next month or so. As a result of this it has been agreed to postpone our upcoming KinSync Fundraiser to early next year.
Fundraising for our Club Development is of course extremely important but supporting our players on the pitch is also very important. So before Season 2018 kicks off next year we will hold our KinSync Fundraiser.
We are extremely grateful to all our confirmed acts who have all committed to taking part in February 2018.

So now…….Plenty of time for a few more acts to come on board with us and strut their stuff on the stage!!! We are always looking for more amazing performers to join us for this mega night. So if you are King or Queen in your house of singing in the shower with your Shampoo Bottle as the microphone or strutting your stuff around the house with the microphone Sweeping Brush then get texting Catherine Murphy on 087-2168734 or Emma O Callaghan on 086-3926527 and be part of this brilliant night – great craic is assured :-).
Perform on your own, in a Duet or organise a Group – whatever you prefer :-)

Equally if anyone out there has time to spare and would like to help out on the night /organising of the event – please contact Catherine or Emma.

THIS EVENT IS STRICTLY FOR OVER 18s!. (performers and audience).

Be a KinSync Sponsor
As with any big fundraising event keeping costs and expenses to a minimum is crucial – the objective is for all monies raised to go directly to our Club Development Fund. If you would like to become a KinSync Sponsor and help Kinsale GAA to raise as much funding as possible please contact Catherine or Emma. All sponsors will be advertised continuously during the KinSync event, as well as being included on all club communications being sent out.
Please feel free to pass this email to places of work, friends, family members, other businesses that you think may be interested in helping out our club – we would be truly grateful for all the financial assistance received – taking the monetary strain off the clubs finances to run an event like this is key. Like every household the club has general expenses, the dreaded regular bills that must be paid - so avoiding adding to this outlaying of money is always a huge benefit.
Kinsale GAA is very very grateful to all our sponsors both present and past – without your financial support it would be extremely difficult to run our club to the high standards that we hold today – THANK YOU.

NOTE ON LIP SYNC - What is Lip Sync?
Can’t sing, Can’t play…don’t have a KitKat ;-)!! Well your time has arrived to shine ………Lip Sync is the event for you.

1. Pick your favourite song
2. Mime to your favourite song on a stage (lights n sound – just like Top of the Pops!!) in front of your friends and family. Groovy Dance Moves / Fancy Dance Routines are mandatory :-)….
3. That’s it! Enjoy the glory………….

Club Development Draw 2017/2018:

This is a vital annual fundraising scheme with all monies collected going straight towards our Club Development Fund. Maximum number of tickets entered into this exclusive draw is 300, so the chances of winning one of the big prizes is fairly high.

Price per Ticket is €100.00.

The Club really appreciates that this is a lot of money with so many other expenses that families have to cope with now. Going forward your contribution will really help to boost our Development Fund which in turn will benefit all our members young and old.

Here a few different suggestions re purchasing a ticket; (1) Buy your own, (2) Share with a friend/family member, (3) get a group of 4 together to share a ticket, or of course you can (4) utilise our Standing Order facility which takes €10 a month from your account directly into the Development Fund account. With either option above your ticket is immediately entered into all 4 draws that take place over the course of the end of 2017 and into 2018.

If you would like to purchase a ticket you can contact :
Catherine Murphy 087-2168734
David Shortall 087-6979089
Sean O Callaghan 086-8104800
Gearoid Condon 086-8325202
Mairead Cronin 087-3238219
Michael O Sullivan 086-3340307

OR you can reply to this email or also contact Emma on 086-3926527.

Together lets get the development of our club facilities off the ground – we can all do our bit:-).

Huge thanks to all those who have supported this fundraising campaign over the years. Without your help ‘the end would never be in sight’!!

To anybody that maybe contemplating purchasing a ticket, please do not hesitate to contact any person above who can answer any questions/queries you may have or if you need additional information – it would be fantastic to see new members getting on board too. Many thanks everybody for your continued and unwavering support for our club.

Lost and Found:
The lost and found boxes are full to capacity – with loads of club tops and t-shirts, 2017 cúl camp tops and lots and lots of other tops, jackets, bottles, lunch boxes and a pair of football boots (very small size U6 perhaps).
This jacket was also found by our Field Committee when lining the pitch recently so if any coaches from visiting teams have been enquiring re a lost jacket it maybe this one: O'Neill's windbreaker found by the dugout. It's black with a green stripe.

In keeping with tradition all unclaimed lost and found clothing is donated to the local St Vincent de Paul Shop at the end of October and all bottles/lunch boxes are unfortunately just dumped. When at the pitch over the next week or two please be sure to go through the boxes if you are missing something. The lost and found boxes are located in the Kitchen.
