SPONSORS
As with any big fundraising event keeping costs and expenses to a minimum is crucial – the objective is for all monies raised to go directly to our Club Development Fund. If you would like to become a KinSync Sponsor and help Kinsale GAA to raise as much funding as possible please contact Catherine or Emma. All sponsors will be advertised continuously during the KinSync event, as well as being included on all club communications being sent out.
Please feel free to pass this email to places of work, friends, family members, other businesses that you think may be interested in helping out our club – we would be truly grateful for all the financial assistance received – taking the monetary strain off the clubs finances to run an event like this is key. Like every household the club has general expenses, the dreaded regular bills that must be paid - so avoiding adding to this outlaying of money is always a huge benefit.
Kinsale GAA is very very grateful to all our sponsors both present and past – without your financial support it would be extremely difficult to run our club to the high standards that we hold today – THANK YOU.

What is Lip Sync?
Can’t sing, Can’t play…don’t have a KitKat ;-)!! Well your time has arrived to shine ………Lip Sync is the event for you.

1. Pick your favourite song
2. Mime to your favourite song on a stage (lights n sound – just like Top of the Pops!!) in front of your friends and family. Groovy Dance Moves / Fancy Dance Routines are mandatory :-)….
3. That’s it! Enjoy the glory………….

Bus to Camogie Final – Not enough people travelling
Unfortunately we won’t be ‘putting on’ a bus to travel to Dublin on 10th September to support Cork in the All-Ireland Camogie Final – with only a small group of people interested in travelling – hiring of the bus etc would work out very expensive per person/family.

Best of luck to Cork – Up the Rebelettes!

U18B2 East Minor Hurling Final submitted by Kevin Sheehan

Kinsale 0- 13 : Carraig Na Bhfear 0-09 Points.

Kinsale GAA bagged our 2nd Divisional title in 6 days. After our U16’s secured the West title earlier during the week, it was the turn of our Minor team to bring home the spoils last Saturday from Ballincollig.

2 young teams contested a tight match in difficult conditions where the result was touch and go up to the final whistle. Kinsale unusually did not have their “scoring boots” on and if we had, we would have not had to endure a tense final 10 minutes.

Kinsale played the better hurling and were stronger all over the field. However this did not translate into score and Carraig must have been happy going in at HT level at 0-05’s each. However Kinsale put on a spurt in the 2nd half and scored enough at their end while restricting Carraig to just the 3 points.

Cian O’Sullivan steady in goal backed up by the U16 full back line of James Crowley and Jack Etty. Half backs Harry Sheehan/Kealan O’Rourke and Captain Ryan O’Regan were always prominent.
Midfield led the charge with Conor McCarthy and Conal Gilleran. The half forwards of Dave Barry/Darragh Crowley and Andrew O’Connell were always to the fore and fed the full forward line of Darragh Mangan and John O’Brien.

Our subs included: Dan O’Hanrahan, Ethan Coughlan and Chris Mitchell along with Harry McCarthy/Sam Peare/Cian Murphy/Brian O’Neill/Jack Wall.

Many thanks to all who came to Ballincollig to support us and to Ciaran Fitzgerald and his staff in Hamlets who hosted us afterwards.

Boys Under 11 Hurling submitted by Donal Hoare

Our under 11 hurlers took part in the annual Daithi O' Donovan Tournament in Carrigaline last Saturday.

Kinsale lost the first game against Ballinhassig but this match served to warm them up sufficiently for the second game against Carrigaline which they won by a point in a tightly fought contest. They beat Ballygarvan well in the third match combining well and getting some fine scores in the process. 3 teams ended up winning two matches and unfortunately Kinsale lost the toss to decide who would play in the decider. Carrigaline beat Ballinhassig well in the final in extremely wet conditions. So a moral victory for Kinsale being the only team to beat the winners of the tournament. Great skilful gutsy performance by all the team.

U12 West Cork League Report submitted by Brian Collins

Under 13 Girls Football submitted by Sean O Grady

Kinsale Girls U13 league result: Kinsale 2-6 : Valley Rovers 5-5

Our girls played very well on the night with everyone putting in a fantastic performance. Unfortunately we were just a little wayward with our shooting in front of the goal. Great team performance.

Next up we are away to Bandon - Friday, 15th September, 6.45pm throw in.
