Well done to the U16 lads who are West Cork Champions after a tough encounter with Ibane Gaels!

Kinsale started very brightly and led at one point by 5 points on a scoreline of 6 points to 1 with fine points from John O Brien and Harry Sheehan and great goal keeping by Brian O Neill.

Ibane clawed their way back in and were in the lead by a single point at half time 1-6 to 0-8! 

Kinsale were quick off the mark in the second half with John O Brien adding to his tally of an outstanding 13 points!

The backs led by Captain James Rooney at centre back and Kealan O Rorke at half back stemmed the Ibane Forwards!

Tom O Connell, Jack Etty, Jerry Coughlan and Harry Sheehan on the wings and Conall Gilleran at midfield fed great ball up the middle and the huge crowd were on their feet when Conor McCarthy scored a super goal!

Ethan Coughan and Andrew O Connell fought hard on the wings and sent lovely ball into the full forward line of Sean Rua, Cian Murphy Michael Murphy and Daniel O Hanrahan!

There was only a goal in it going into injury time but Forwards Michael Murphy and Andrew O Connell popped over a point each to increase the lead by 5 points!

The final score was 1-17 to 2-9!
